| Usage Tips: | Searching The "Quick Search" option (box on left side of opening page) is particularly useful for simple searches, with one or two terms. For more complex searches, such as multi-word phrases, we recommend the Advanced Search option, located just under "Quick Search."
Search Terms To search for forms of a term, use an asterisk (*). Example: tattoo* To find entries containing two or more words, combine search terms with AND. Example: tattoo* AND teen* To find entries containing a multi-word phrase, enclose search terms within parentheses. Exampe: "eastern europe" AND women Search Results The results of searches are listed in relevancy order, determind by the frequency and location of search terms within each document. Browsing You can click on any of the "Browse" options on the left side of the opening page to generate lists of all entries grouped by Subject, by Time Period, by Region, or by Title. There are additional browsing options on the right side of the page. Delivery Once you are looking at a single entry from the results, "Print" and "Email" options will appear near the upper-right corner of the page. |
