| Usage Tips: | Truncation To search for various forms of a word (or part of a word), place an asterisk (*) at the end of the word. For example, environment* will search for environment, environmental, environments, environmentalist, etc. Combining Terms When using the "Search by Word" option, you can find citations containing two or more particular words by connecting them with the word "AND." Example: pollution AND environment*. To search for a phrase, enclose the words in quotation marks. Example: "campaign finance reform". Full Text: Full-text availability is indicated by one or more icons accompanying a citation: - Full-text: Indicates the complete text of the article - Text + graphics: Indicates the complete text, plus images from the article - Page image: Indicates a PDF image of the article - Find a copy: Indicates you should check Periodical Finder to find a copy at W&L |
