Background Information

Reference books are a great place to find background information on your topic.  To search for books, use the library catalog Annie

(HINT: There is an Annie search box on every library web page.)

Online Reference Materials (see all reference materials for the sciences here)

These are encyclopedias and other reference books that are available electronically.  Most of these may be browsed by subject.

From Library Catalog (see all items on Medical Ethics here)

These are books that you would have to physically check out of the library.  These links will take you to the record in the library catalog, where you can find the location and call number.

Newspaper and Magazine Articles

There is a lot of rich information in newspapers and magazines.  Use these resources to search your area of interest and discover new trends and controversies.  From there, you may want to search the more scholarly scientific journal literature.

Do we have the full text?

If the full text of the article is not immediately available, click on the WebBridge button WebBridge button which will search all of W&L's subscriptions to hopefully provide full text access.  If WebBridge is unable to find the full text, you will have the opportunity to request an Interlibrary Loan.
