Interlibrary Loan Record

The Washington and Lee University Library’s Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service is one of our most popular programs — and we have the data to prove it.
As befits the always-hectic second half of the Winter Term, March 2008 was our busiest month in history for ILL requests! We filled over 975 requests from W&L students and faculty — well over 30 per day.
The average turnaround time (request-to-receipt) for requested articles in March was about 3.08 days and about 7.7 days for books.
This service, which is free to W&L students, faculty, and staff, allows access to the collections of hundreds of libraries in the U.S. and elsewhere. If you have questions, please contact a reference librarian or Elizabeth Teaff, who is in charge of ILL.
