New Encyclopedias

The Washington and Lee University Library has acquired online access to two recently-published major encyclopedias.
The Oxford Encyclopedia of Ancient Greece and Rome was published as a seven-volume set in printed form and “a comprehensive overview of the major cultures of the classical Mediterranean world — Greek, Hellenistic, and Roman — from the Bronze Age to the fifth century CE.”
Sage’s six-volume Encyclopedia of Journalism contains over 350 signed entries, including a couple contributed by W&L’s own Associate Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications Doug Cumming.
These and other new online reference works are listed in our New Reference blog.
