During the summer months, Leyburn Library and Telford Sciene Library are open only during the day on weekdays.
A more detailed outline of our summer hours is on our Web site.
As is our annual custom, the Washington and Lee University Library is requesting a print copy of each student honors thesis from this year’s graduating class. These theses are added to the University Archives, becoming a part of W&L history that will be consulted by students and other researchers for years to come.
This year for the first time, the Library is offering each honors candidate an opportunity to have a digital copy of the thesis added to our developing digital institutional repository. (We will take care of the scanning.)
Important note: Any student can opt to have online access to his/her thesis restricted to only those researchers who can log into the campus network. Submission forms are available at the Information Desk and the Reference Desk in Leyburn Library.
Completed theses, along with signed submission forms, should be delivered to Technical Services Librarian Laura Turner (firstname.lastname@example.org; x8659) on Lower Level One in Leyburn Library.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Ms. Turner or our Senior Reference Librarian, Dick Grefe (email@example.com; x8644).
Acclaimed journalist and newsman Roger Mudd, a 1950 graduate of Washington and Lee University, has donated his papers to the University Library.
Details are available from the W&L News Office.
