According to University Computing,
each Summer Scholars participant will be issued a user ID and password for Novell, GroupWise and BlackBoard.
The username is generally the last name and first initial, but not always if a previous account exists that
conflicts with the new user.
Initially the password is a 7-digit number but will be changed to whatever the student wants.
While there is no set limit on "free" printing on the campus network, "excessive printing" will result in additional
charges.
Remember -- Be sure to log OUT whenever you finish a network session. Otherwise, the next person using the same machine will have access to your files and accounts, including e-mail.
Summer Scholars students may use the following computing labs on campus:
A description of the campus wireless service is here, including a list of viable locations.
If you have trouble with the campus network, you can contact the University Computing Help Desk (on the Main Floor of Leyburn Library), which is staffed 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-through-Friday.
