Below are instructions for searching, printing, etc. when using the Brill Online Reference interface.
You can link to each chapter or section by clicking on linked entries in the table of contents.
The search box near the top of the page enables you to search through the entire contents of the encyclopedia you are using.
Note: The drop-down box next to the search box makes it possible for you to search through other Brill publications, but most of these are not ones to which we subscribe.
You may use AND or OR to combine search terms.
Example: women AND clothing
Example: women AND (clothing OR dress)
You may search for a multi-word phrase by enclosing the words within quotation marks.
Example: "domestic violence"
You must use your browser's printing options to print an article.
You may download citations or complete articles to RefWorks, but you must set up a personal Brill account, using the registration options which MAY be available on the right side of the page ("Register").
