Help with Greenwood and abc-clio EBooks

As of September 2009, ABC-Clio and Greenwood electronic books are part of the same ABC-Clio collection.

Below are instructions for browsing, searching, navigating, and printing when using the ABC-Clio ebook interface.  

Browsing

A list of Contents, including a list of chapters or sections of an e-book, will appear on the left side of the screen.

You may click on individual chapter titles to go to the first page of that section.

The Contents list may include an alphabetically-arranged Index (at the bottom of the list), with linked page references.

Navigating

You can move from one page to another only by using the blue left and right arrows, above the e-book text, near the right side of the screen.

Searching

To search the contents of the book you viewing, use the "Quick Search" option, above the Contents list, on the left side of the screen.

• To search for forms of a word, use an asterisk (*) to substitute for one or more letters. Example:  environment* retrieves environment, environmental, environmentalist, etc.
• To search for entries containing more than one word, combine the words with AND.   Example:  religio* AND nationalis*
• To search for multi-words terms or phrases, enclose the words with quotations marks.  Example:  "native americans"

To search through this book and all the other ABC-Clio and Greenwood e-books to which we have access, use the drop-down menu under "Quick Search."

Printing and E-Mailing

Printing and e-mailing options appear directly above the e-book text.
