Below are instructions for browsing, searching, navigating, and printing when using the Oxford Reference Online (ORO) ebook interface.
The opening screen should display a listing (probably alphabetical) of entries in the book.
Search Within the Book's Contents On the left side of the page (beneath "Washington and Lee University") is a Search within work box, which can be used to search through the complete text of the individual e-book you are looking at.
Search Beyond the Book Near the upper-right corner of the page is a Search box, which can be used to search through the complete text of the individual e-book you are looking at PLUS other Oxford Reference works to which Washington and Lee University subscribes.
To find articles containing a multi-word phrase, enter the words within quotation marks. Example: "common law"
The results of searches are arranged by relevance, with those articles containing search words in the title or other prominent location.
Once you view an individual entry, options for printing, e-mailing, saving/downloading, etc. are displayed above and to the the right of the text.
