Washington and Lee University Washington and Lee University The University Library

Blue Bike Program

The Library now has 5 bikes available for check-out through the Blue Bike program.
We have three "mens" and two "womens" 26 inch cruiser type bikes.
This bike loan program is open to campus community members.
It is designed to provide a convenient way to get around the campus and the city.

The bikes are locked and stored on the bridge leading to the main entrance of the library.
Anyone wishing to use the bikes may do so by checking out a bike helmet and a key at the Information Desk of Leyburn Library.
The bikes may be checked out for a period of 24 hours.

It is the responsibility of the driver to keep the bike locked at all times, when not in use, to wear a helmet at all times, obey the rules of the road and return the equipment in good condition. Drivers must also vouch that they know how to operate the bike. These rules are delineated in the bike check-out form.

Are any bikes currently available?
