MISSION

The Washington and Lee University Library Institutional Repository serves to collect, preserve, share, and enhance the use of selected materials, owned or created by Washington and Lee University and members of its community, by making these materials available in a digital format. 

The repository includes materials born in digital form or materials digitized from other formats.  These materials provide permanent and open access to digital information that will assist teaching, learning and research at Washington and Lee University and beyond.

CONTENTS

The Repository began operations in 2010 with the release of the Calyx, student honors theses, and records of Washington and Lee faculty and staff publications.  

Here is a list of major components of the Repository's contents.

Please note:

• the full contents (text, images, etc.) of most items are available in the Repository, but some listings are only descriptions of items available elsewhere;
• most items are available online without restriction, but some are limited to Washington and Lee researchers (i.e., current students, faculty, and staff) and in-person visitors to the campus.
