case cited to the page on which the definition appears."

| Usage Tips: | Note: You may wish to sort your search results by "Relevance," rather than by "Publication Date."
SEARCH TERMS There are two basic ways of entering search terms on most search screens -- "Terms and Connectors" and "Natural Language." Terms and Connectors uses a set of connecting terms to combine search terms. For example, supreme court AND desegregation finds articles containing the phrase "supreme court" and the word "desegregation" and arranges the list of results in chronological order. Natural Language Using this option, you can state your search query in "plain English," without any special connecting terms. You could type desgregation supreme court and get the same number of articles as above, but this time the list of results will be arranged in order of relevance as determined by the appearance of the search terms within the articles. Forms of Words LexisNexis automatically searches for both singular and plural forms of words. The trucation symbol ! (exclamation mark) can be used to substitute for several letters to search for forms of a word. For example, child! will find child, children, childhood, etc. | |
