Berlin Wall in Library

This past week marked the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

As they say, it was in all the papers, including this week’s Washington Post and this November 1989 article from the New York Times.

And Washington and Lee University got a piece of the action — literally, a piece of the Berlin Wall.   Thanks to the industry of alumnus Tie Sosnowski (C’90), the University Library’s Special Collections houses a small fragment of the wall, mounted and authenticated.

Stop by to visit a piece of one of the most (in)famous man-made structures of the 20th century.  Our Special Collections is located on Lower Level 1 of Leyburn Library and is open Monday-through-Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
