The University Library joins the rest of the Washington and Lee community in welcoming to campus about 150 Johnson Scholarship candidates who will be here from Sunday to Tuesday (March 8 – 10).
We hope all the candidates will feel welcome in Leyburn Library and Telford Science Library while visiting W&L. If you have questions, please feel free to ask any members of our staff. W&L’s interactive campus map highlights Leyburn Library and Telford Science Library.
Other information for your visit:
* Free hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) will be available to all of our visitors, from Sunday evening through Monday night. The libations are available in the “Book Nook” area on Leyburn Library’s Main Floor.
* There are several “guest” computers, allowing password-free access to the Internet, located in front of the Information Desk in Leyburn Library. Among other purposes, Johnson candidates can use one of these computers to print airline boarding passes, without any charge.
* If you are interested in wireless access from your own machine, please follow these instructions from the W&L ITS: “Find the wireless network named wlu, connect, open a Web browser, and then enter your e-mail address.”
* A current student ID is needed to enter our library buildings after 10:00 PM.
Please let us know if you have questions. Good luck and have a great time!
